Art of Assassination: Though he was not proficient at the start of the anime and manga, He followed these rules as a guiding code as he learned to apease himself and vanish into the darkness around the enemy. 

He is a master of Waki-Gamae, Which is a form of Kendo that styles in disabling oppenents, But that is not his only weapon, With multiple abilties at his disposal when paired with his partners he has the following skills. Trap Star, Which he uses Tsubaki in chain sycthe form, Causing anyone who steps into the star shapped chain he leaves on the ground to become detected and trapped within the chains.  Speed star: Which allows him to become faster. Shadow star: Tsubaki controls black stars shadow to manipulate it into attacking with him. Shadow star Version Pull and slash: A advance form of shadow star in which Tsubaki is in her dark sword transformation, Which allows black star and Tsubaki to control all shadows casted from black star. Shadow form Masamune: A dark scarf wraps itself around blackstar giving him a boost in his speed as well as becoming a weapon when others get close to him. Shadow form Masamune zeroth infinity: The scarf along black stars neck will produce dark shadow swords made from the same substance as his prior shadow attacks. Shadow sword Masumune zeroth god slaying form: In this mode Blackstar is able to fill his shadow with his soul energy which causes a dark aura to form around him, And once released it emits a dark star subtance into the air as well as smoke, And causes imense and brutal damage to the internal and outside of the one hit with it. And with many more tricks up his sleeves he also has Shadow star: Chain form, Which is where he envolops himslef around with dark chains that he turns to use as weapons and is capable of being thrown out against his oppenets. Then he uses his partner Tsubaki to form, Shadow Shuriken mode, Shadow stealth bomb mode, And shadow leaf midnight mode, Which transforms her into a long knife like sword with a long chain that goes around the outside of black star, And apon swinging this blade he causes the chain to fly towards others, The chain is very sharp and can cause thick wounds if not avoided.

 

His strong and exceptional soul and wavelength can be chanelled using his soul menace ability which allows one to resonate with ones own soul and cause devistating blows to his enemies, His Black star big wave is known for when he slams his elbow into someone, And by releasing a pressure of his soul wavelength into their body, Can leave them paralyzed and terribly weakened.

His world destruction cannon is a stronger version of his soul menace where he has learned to resonate more within his own soul and he typically uses his palm to send the stronger resonated wave into their body, Which he can aim into a vital spot if he chooses not to spread it. 

 

With his intense conditioning, Blackstar had learned to fly by using his own power as seen at the end of the manga.
